Ceramic teapot with vanilla glaze. Perfect for tea for two! A lovely wedding gift, birthday or house warming present for pottery lovers.
My ceramic teapots are handmade from a toasted buff stoneware clay with the body of each pot thrown on the wheel. The spout and handles are cut out by hand and formed from rolled out slab of clay.
The teapots are high-fired in the kiln to 1000 degrees (the bisque fire) which dries and strengthens them sufficiently for it to be glazed. They are dip glazed in a matt vanilla glaze and firing them again to 1250 degrees.
Each teapot is individually crafted so no two are exactly alike. Each teapot is individually crafted so no two are exactly alike and each much takes approximately 3/4 weeks to make from start to finish, including making, drying, bisque firing, glazing and final high firing.
This listing is for one ceramic teapot.
They generally hold 500-600ml (half litre+) so plenty of tea for two cups.
Handmade in my studio on the south coast of England.
