Handmade pottery deep cereal breakfast bowls with soft white Cloud glaze. The unglazed rims and base provide a simple and rustic contrast between the smoothness of the surface and the texture of the buff stoneware clay.

Handmade ceramics process
The bowls are thrown by hand on the wheel. The bases are trimmed and left flat.
Once the bowls are bone dry are are fired in the kiln to 1000 degrees (the bisque fire) which dries and strengthens them sufficiently for glazing. They are dip glazed in a soft white glaze before I fire them again to 1250 degrees.
Each cereal bowl is individually crafted so no two are exactly alike and each much takes approximately 3 weeks to make from start to finish, including making, drying, bisque firing, glazing and final high firing.
